8 Dec 1958, as European Trade Union Committee of Food and Allied Workers in the Community (ETUCF) -- Comité européen des syndicats de l'alimentation, du tabac et de l'industrie hôtelière dans la Communauté (CESA) -- Europäischer Gewerkschaftsausschuss Nahrung, Genuss und Gaststätten in der Gemeinschaft (EGNGG). Constituted with present name, at 3rd ETUCF General Assembly (Constituent Assembly of ECF), 25 Nov 1981, Helsingør (Denmark). Amended by Regional ECF-IUF Conferences: 8 Oct 1985, Nice (France); 16 Nov 1989, Luxembourg; 8-10 Nov 1993, Luxembourg; 5-7 Nov 1997, Luxembourg. European regional organization of B-XB2719 - International Union of Food, Agricultural, Hotel, Restaurant, Catering, Tobacco and Allied Workers Associations (IUF). Dec 2000, merged with U-XE0718 - European Federation of Agricultural Workers' Unions (EFA) to form F-XF6035 - European Federation of Food, Agriculture and Tourism Trade Unions (EFFAT).

Aims

Adhere to the principles of free and democratic trade unionism; defend and promote, at European Level, the social, economic and cultural interests of the affiliates in the food, beverages, tobacco, hotel and catering industries.
