Founded as a world federation of national student Christian movements and student sections of B-XB3453 - World Alliance of Young Men's Christian Associations (YMCA) and B-XB3609 - World Young Women's Christian Association (World YWCA). Constitution most recently revised: Mar 1986, Mexico City (Mexico); Sep 1990, Chantilly (France); Sep 1995, Yamoussoukro (Côte d'Ivoire); Sep 1999, Beirut (Lebanon); Aug 2004, Chiang Mai (Thailand).

Aims

Share God's love for creation, justice and peace across boundaries of race, class, ethnicity, culture, gender and sexuality; contribute to the renewal of the ecumenical movement; encourage a culture of democracy to mobilize youth to become pro-active in society; promote positive change through dialogue and action between different traditions and cultures.
