History
1981, Lima (Peru), at a round table in which 12 countries participated, within the framework of E-XE9569 - FAO Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean (FAO/RLC). Also referred to as Technical Cooperation Network on Oil Palm. Presumably no longer exists.
Aims
Promote cooperation among developing countries; encourage their self-confidence through recognition of their own resources, knowledge and skills; strengthen technical capacity of national institutions; stimulate capabilities and training of human resources; accelerate development through more efficient utilization of human, physical and financial resources available in the region.
